We will be opening up the Put Spread first, then leg into the Call Spread within the next week to complete our Iron Condor position.

Sell the SPX 1390 Jan07 Put
Buy the SPX 1380 Jan07 Put

Sell/Credit Limit of $0.60

As always, you will need about $1000 for each contract. If our order gets filled, we would receive $60 or better for just this half of the trade. Our margin requirement is $940 ($1000 - $60) for each contract.

If we are able to get at least $0.50 for the Call Spread, that would give us a total credit of $1.10. A $110 profit from an investment of $940 results in a possible 11.7% return for the month!

With $20,000 that will allow us to sell 21 contracts. At $110 each, that will net us $2,310 for this month!
However much is invested, an equal amount should be kept in cash for any adjustments.

Below are screenshots with instructions for a sample trade using ThinkOrSwim. These are not included in the e-mails, but are here for educational purposes. They are captioned below each image with step by step instructions... refer back as necessary.

1. Click on the "Trade" tab located at the top of the ToS trading platform.
2. Enter the index symbol as described in the e-mail... in this case, SPX.

3. After the quotes populate, click on the "Options" section to open up the option chain.

Mouse over the first strike price described in the e-mail... in this case, the 1390 PUT. Right click on either of the Bid/Ask prices to open up the trade menu. Mouse down to Sell, over to Vertical, then click. This will populate the Order Entry section near the bottom of the screen.

Ensure that all of the details of the trade are input correctly.

When satisfied, click on the "Confirm and Send Button". A window will pop up to summarize your order. This is your last chance to verify the order. Click on "Send" when satisfied.
